The Permanent Materials Alliance issues its priorities for the 2024-2029 EU legislative cycle

The Permanent Material Alliance  has reaffirmed its ambition for a Circular Economy by publishing its key priorities for the 2024-2029 EU legislative cycle:

  • Shift the EU policy from its waste focus to a resource-based focus
  • Implement the EU circular economy legislation effectively and harmonise the EU Single Market

Permanent materials (aluminium, glass & steel) can be recycled over and over again without losing their intrinsic properties, forming the backbone of circular material loops.

These materials are, and will remain, essential to any proven and well-functioning circular economy.
