Steel for Packaging Europe, formerly known as APEAL, represents the 5 major European producers of packaging steel – Acciaierie d’Italia, ArcelorMittal, Tata Steel, thyssenkrupp Rasselstein and Nippon Steel Slovakia.

Founded in 1986, we are committed to working with policymakers, industry, recyclers and other stakeholders to ensure understanding of steel for packaging’s role in a circular, resource-efficient and competitive Europe.

Steel packaging is a highly sophisticated and modern material. It a permanent material -endlessly recyclable, which makes is the perfect material for the future.
