Join our “Packaging legislation – Challenges and opportunities for metal packaging” session at Sustainable Packaging Summit 2025

The Metal packaging industry will host a full panel debate 14:00 – 15.00 on Tuesday 11th November at the forthcoming Sustainable Packaging Summit, at the Jaarbeurs Event & Exhibition Centre in Utrecht.

Many presentations during this 2 day-conference will spotlight the latest innovations in packaging, designed to protect products more effectively, extend shelf life, and reduce the burden of non-recyclable waste.

But we don’t always need to reinvent the wheel - sometimes, we just need to carry it better.

Metal packaging - one of the most established solutions in history - continues to set the benchmark with its unmatched product protection and infinite recyclability in a closed-loop system. Evolving EU legislation, particularly new recyclability criteria and performance grades, is reshaping the packaging landscape. These changes signal a decisive move toward greater transparency, circularity, and recyclability.

What do these developments mean for metal packaging? What sustainability challenges and opportunities lie ahead?

Join experts from Nestlé, Trivium Packaging, Metal Packaging Europe and Steel for Packaging Europe, to share insights, address pressing challenges, and explore pathways to unlock new opportunities in the packaging industry.
