Steel for Packaging Europe

SFPU #38

Welcome

Thank you for joining us for another issue of Steel for Packaging Update.

The past few months have brought significant policy shifts that will directly influence how our sector sources materials, invests in innovation, and contributes to Europe’s circular economy goals.

In this edition, we take a close look at two themes dominating recent discussions: measures to safeguard EU steel industry from imports and measures to protect European steel scrap from being exported. Both highlight how interconnected policy, market forces, and sustainability have become - and why staying informed is more important than ever.

We hope you enjoy the read! Seasons greetings from all the team.
