Interpack 2026 Düsseldorf

Steel for Packaging Europe (SfPE) will use its presence at Interpack 2026 to announce the 2024 recycling rates for steel packaging.

Visitors to the Interpack trade show, taking place in Düsseldorf from 7–13 May, are invited to attend a session on 11 May at 3:00 pm in Hall 7a, Stand B12, on the International Packaging Association stand. The speaker line-up includes Richard Lézé, President of Steel for Packaging Europe and Steve Claus, Secretary General who will be jointly presenting on the topic:

“Is steel packaging Europe’s most circular material? Announcing 2024 recycling rates and what they really mean.”

Recycling rates for steel packaging have been on the rise over the last 4 decades, increasing from 18% in 1986 to 82% in 2023 (latest available data). As circularity becomes synonymous with resource efficiency and competitiveness for the EU, join us on 11th May to find out whether we are still making recycling progress as Steel for Packaging Europe celebrates its 40th anniversary.

The event will also provide an opportunity to obtain a copy of the newly released Steel Ahead: Packaging for a Circular Future 2026 report, which highlights how steel packaging continues to demonstrate leadership in compliance, recycling, and circularity.
