European Deposit Returns Schemes Association conference 2026

Steve Claus, Secretary General of Steel for Packaging Europe, will join a distinguished line-up of speakers to promote more efficient use of resources and the strengthening of circular economy practices at the forthcoming Conference of the European Deposit Return Systems Association, this 28th May in Bratislava.

Steve will bring a different perspective to most other panelists by highlighting the challenges for producers and recyclers under new EU legislation, and presenting the case for other systems for increasing steel packaging recycling.

Thus invite-only conference will bring together representatives of European institutions, Deposit Return System operators, producers, recyclers, industry associations and other key stakeholders to discuss the role of Deposit Return Systems (DRS) in achieving Europe’s circular economy and competitiveness ambitions.
